Part 1 and Part 2 in the revelation of Sri Lanka’s gender bills are hyperlinked as shown.
The “Empowerment of Women Act” which Sri Lanka is about to announce will empower instead the radical feminists at the United Nations.
This is what the Act seeks to do:
“the enforcement of the obligations relating to women undertaken by the State under-
(i) the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women, (“CEDAW”);
(ii) the international Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, (“ICCPR”;
(iii) the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, (ECOSOC)
(iv) the Vienna Declaration on the Elimination of Violence against Women 1993;
(v) the Sustainable Development Goals adopted by the United Nations in 2015; and
(vi) other international Conventions, Treaties, Agreements relating to the rights and obligations of”
One need not be surprised that the “other international Conventions, Treaties and Agreements” are not specified, and yet they become the law of the land - by “enforcement”.
In in the U.S., Black Pastors tell the truth about the "Equality Act." It to, contains a dubious and cynical comma, "And, for other purposes." I wrote our Arizona U.S. Senator asking what those purposes are and did not get a response.....
